Rain in the scriptures was always a sign of revelation. When the rain is present typically there is also fruitfulness. When there is fruitfulness there is revelation.
"Of mine own self I can do nothing". This was always the posture of Yeshua's heart before the Father. He was always dependent on the Father for everything. Discipleship teaches us about Father son relationship.
Everyone that is connected to Yeshua will bear fruit. One of the fruits of His life is perseverance.
Jesus is the source of all fruitfulness. He is our capacity. That is why we can do nothing without Him.
What does it meant to abide in Him? How do we remain in that place of deep connectivity with the Father?
Pruning is very important in our walk with the Lord. If there are areas of a vine that are weak and not pruned, they will sap energy and vitality from the entire vine. It is the same with our life.
The "vine" was a part of the heritage of the Jewish nation. John 15 is not speaking about the church but about different levels of maturity within the nation of Israel.
In John 15, we see Jesus speak of the vine. Why is He saying this? What is the significance behind the vine?
The Spirit is the new mind as we come into relationship with Christ. If we don't feed the Spirit we will continue to live in the corrupt mind of the old man.
The Holy Spirit is the representation of the Son. Jesus started the kingdom and the Holy Spirit came to continue the work to expand the kingdom.
The Holy Spirit is a gift from the Father and was sent to teach us Jesus. Many people today like to elevate the Spirit over the Father but you never see Jesus doing that. He always elevated the Father.
When we are introduced to the book of John we are introduced to the deity of Jesus. His life was to always bring glory to the Father.
We are called to be a "we" instead of an "I". This is the example that was set before us from the beginning. We are to be one just like Yeshua was one.
Who was "I Am"? What did He give to those He interacted with? He was the bread and living water that people needed. We are called to be the same.
Are you waiting for your mansion in the sky? It isn't actually a mansion. It is an abode, but you will be amazed at what else it means; and how knowing what it means will effect your walk with the Lord right now.
We are sent out as a new priesthood. In this new priesthood, we offer up sacrifices of praise.
Yeshua only did his Father's will. He never acted of his own accord. All that the Father was He gave to the Son and now all that the Son is He gives to us.
When Yeshua said He was the light of the world the people understood a depth of that statement that many of us miss today. When He made this declaration the beginning of the verses in Isaiah 60 opened up.
There is a strategy designed by God and a strategy designed by Satan. Without the Light of God you have no ability to defend yourself from the tactics of the enemy.
Salvation was always understood as the light that would come from the Messiah. When Jesus spoke in John 8:12 the people of that day knew exactly what He was referring to. Only the Light can bring true transformation.
